Family trip 8km

Departure: Base Canoë Montana – Arrival: Barrage de la Vernède

 

A quiet and enchanting descent. Open from 6 years. A beautiful canoe trip in the wildest part of the Hérault Gorges. It is the family hike, it will be especially suitable for children, nature lovers and beginners. It takes 2 hours of non-stop canoeing plus picnic and swimming stops.

Sporty trip 7km

Departure : Ganges – Arrival : Canoë Montana base.

 

The most rugged course. Descent of the gorges of the Hérault accessible from 11 years. A playful course, full of amusing passages, inclined plane, small rapids. You will need between 1h30 and 2h00 to paddle, so between 3h00 and 5h00 in total.

Adventure course 15km

Departure: Ganges – Arrival: Barrage de la Vernède.

 

Adventure near Montpellier or Nîmes. The longest descent in the Hérault. Open from 11 years. For the very brave, as you have to paddle for 4 hours. It is therefore necessary to plan the day (between 6h and 8h all included), it is the descent on the Hérault that gathers at the same time the sportive side of the canoe and the side full of nature of the Gorges de l’ Hérault.

Requirements

To go canoeing, you must be able to swim at least 25 metres. We recommend to wear a helmet, especially in the faster passages. We provide the necessary equipment for each canoe or kayak rental. Helmets and life jackets are disinfected between each run. A free shuttle bus will return you from the Vernède Dam every hour until 6pm (mask required).
